Auro-Olmesartan HCTZ 40mg/12.5mg combines olmesartan (40mg) with hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg) in a single tablet. This combination is used to:

  • Treat Hypertension: Effectively lower high blood pressure by using two complementary mechanisms. Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that helps remove excess fluid from the body.

Olmesartan works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. Hydrochlorothiazide helps reduce blood pressure by increasing urine output, which decreases fluid in the blood vessels.
