Auro-Lamivudine/Zidovudine 150/300mg is a combination medication used to:

  • Treat HIV Infection: Manage HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adults and children. It helps to control the virus by reducing its ability to multiply, thereby improving immune function and reducing the risk of developing AIDS.
  • Components:
    • Lamivudine: An antiretroviral drug that inhibits the reverse transcriptase enzyme, preventing HIV replication.
    • Zidovudine: Also an antiretroviral drug, it interferes with the reverse transcriptase enzyme, further inhibiting HIV replication.

The typical dose is 150mg of lamivudine and 300mg of zidovudine, taken twice daily. Common side effects can include nausea, headache, fatigue, and bone marrow suppression.
