Auro-Efavirenz/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir 600mg/200mg/300mg is a combination medication used to treat HIV infection. It contains three antiretroviral drugs:

  • Efavirenz (600mg): An NNRTI (non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor) that blocks the reverse transcriptase enzyme HIV needs to replicate.
  • Emtricitabine (200mg): A NRTI (nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor) that inhibits reverse transcriptase, reducing viral replication.
  • Tenofovir (300mg): A NRTI that interferes with viral DNA synthesis by inhibiting reverse transcriptase.

This combination works synergistically to effectively lower viral load and manage HIV infection.

Typically, this medication is taken once daily, with or without food. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, rash, and fatigue. Regular monitoring by a healthcare provider is important to assess effectiveness and manage any side effects.
