Auro-Cefuroxime 500mg contains cefuroxime, a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, including:

  • Respiratory Tract Infections: Such as sinusitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
  • Ear Infections: Including otitis media (middle ear infections).
  • Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Like cellulitis and impetigo.
  • Urinary Tract Infections: Such as cystitis and pyelonephritis.
  • Bone Infections: Like osteomyelitis.

Cefuroxime works by disrupting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death and resolution of the infection.

The 500mg dose is usually taken twice daily.
