Auro-Apremilast 30mg contains apremilast, a medication used to treat certain autoimmune conditions, specifically:

  • Psoriatic Arthritis: A form of arthritis that affects some people with psoriasis.
  • Plaque Psoriasis: A skin condition characterized by red, scaly patches.

Apremilast works by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), which plays a role in inflammation and immune responses. By blocking PDE4, apremilast helps to reduce inflammation and modulate immune system activity, which can improve symptoms and reduce the severity of these conditions.

The 30mg dose is usually taken twice daily, with doses often started at a lower amount and gradually increased based on the patient’s response and tolerance. It can be taken with or without food.

Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, headache, and upper respiratory infections. Regular follow-up with a healthcare provider is important to monitor for side effects and adjust treatment as needed.
