Atacand Plus TB 32mg+12.5mg is a combination medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains two active ingredients: candesartan cilexetil (32mg), an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg), a thiazide diuretic.

Candesartan works by relaxing blood vessels, making it easier for blood to flow, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide helps reduce fluid retention by increasing the elimination of sodium and water through urine, which also helps in lowering blood pressure.

This higher dose combination is typically prescribed for patients who require stronger blood pressure control. The medication is usually taken once daily, with or without food, as directed by a healthcare provider. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is essential to ensure the medication's effectiveness and to manage any potential side effects, such as dizziness or electrolyte imbalances.
